  • Overview

One billion people worldwide are estimated to have Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). There is strong data linking OSA with morbidity and mortality. Many of your patients are likely experiencing symptoms of OSA, and you can make a difference. OSA screening is a missed opportunity in the primary care setting and can be easily implemented to ensure that the necessary steps are taken to get the patients into treatment and to improve patient outcomes. The purpose of this educational program is to help primary care providers learn how to screen for OSA, implement an OSA screening process, and develop a road map for cross-specialty collaborative relationships between sleep specialists and primary care clinicians.
