  • Overview

    This series of bite-sized episodes features essential insights into the diagnosis and management of limb-girdle muscular dystrophy 2I/R9 (LGMD2I/R9), an FKRP-related subtype of LGMD. Drs. John Vissing and Conrad Weihl share expert perspectives on genetics, clinical presentation, diagnostic strategies, patient-centered management, and current as well as emerging therapeutic options. The series also highlights challenges in care delivery, including access to genetic testing and the role of multidisciplinary support.

    • Evaluate the impact of LGMD2I/R9 on patients and caregivers, emphasizing the importance of multidisciplinary care and patient advocacy
    • Describe current management strategies and emerging therapeutic approaches aimed at improving patient outcomes in LGMD2I/R9

    This activity has been designed to meet the educational needs of neurologists and primary care physicians as well as all other physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, pharmacists, and healthcare providers involved in managing patients with Limb-Girdle Muscular Dystrophy 2I/R9.
